employment news today - upsc logoUnion Public Service Commission (UPSC) invited online applications from eligible candidates for the employment of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants Examination 2015. It released a notification in website www.upsc.gov.in on date 25th April, 2015 to apply online through www.upsconline.nic.in. Total jobs are 304 and the last date to apply online is 15th May, 2015.

UPSC Assistant Commandants Examination 2015

Assistant Commandants: 304 (BSF – 28, CRPF-94, CISF-37, ITBP-107, SSB-38)

Age Limit: 20 to 25 years
Educational Qualifications: Graduation with any discipline

Application process:

UPSC invited online applications for Assistant Commandants Exam 2015 and this online application link is available in www.upsconline.nic.in. Candidates whoever possess the eligibility criteria laid down by the UPSC can visit this careers link in UPSC from 25th April to15th May, 2015 to register themselves.

Selection Process: The selection process of Assistant Commandants in CAPFs is done through written test – Physical Efficiency Test and Interview.

Scheme for UPSC Assistant Commandants Written Test 2015

Paper-1
General Ability and Intelligence – 250 marks – 2 hours
Paper-2
General Studies, Essay and Comprehension- 200 marks – 3 hours

Candidates have to write the both papers on the same day i.e. 12th July, 2015.

Candidates qualified in written test are allowed to physical efficiency test and interview.

UPSC Introduction


UPSC stands for “Union Public Service Commission” which has been established in the year 1926, on October 1st and was later given a constitutional status on January 26, 1950 by the Indian government. UPSC consists of a chairman and 10 members whose services are governed by UPSC regulations that were formed in the year, 1969.  The chairman and members of UPSC are appointed by the Indian President where most of the members belong to the central or state services and has an experience of over 10 years as civil servants and are either working or retired. Each member of the UPSC board has a six year term or retires at the age of sixty-five whichever being first. His resignation or removal from the service is considered only by the President of India.
